I am a lifelong horse lover with a deep-rooted concern for the environment. These dual passions have guided my life and career journey.

Today, I offer an exciting combination of equine and environment related training and support! This includes escorted rides on Cannock Chase, coaching and training, plus tips on and signposting towards more sustainable ‘horsiculture’ to help minimise the environmental impact of our horse-related activities.

ESCORTED RIDES

“Happy on the Hoof – led rides on Cannock Chase”

Would you love to ride through stunning landscape and enjoy unique wildlife and history?!
Then join me with your own horse on an escorted ride on Cannock Chase
‘The Jewel of the West Midlands!’

  • Varied routes of approximately 2 ½ hours starting from The Punch Bowl (What3Words tastes.molars.static) off the A513 between Milford and Wolseley Bridge
  • Maximum group size 3 (plus Ride Leader)
  • Supporting the appreciation and protection of this unique well-loved landscape
  • Coaching advice on hand
  • 10% of ride price will be donated towards landscape and wildlife conservation projects on Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (now called National Landscape)
  • Ride Price: 1:1 rides £60, groups of 2 or 3 riders £35 each
  • All riders must have their own BHS Gold or equivalent Public Liability Insurance
  • Under 18’s welcome but must be accompanied by an adult

Cannock Chase combines wide open, breath-taking landscapes, with unique habitats and wildlife, plus a rich heritage and history. 

The Chase receives an estimated 2.5 million visitors each year, but despite these numbers, it is still easy to visit The Chase and feel freedom, peace and solitude – and ‘Happy on the Hoof’ Guided Rides, which usually take place on weekdays, will take you away from honey pot sites into the quieter corners of this special place.

Coaching & Training

I have a wealth of teaching experience and am available to coach children and adults on their own horse or pony, both one to one or in small groups.

progressive training plan?

I can offer training for the following:

  • BHS Stages 1 and 2 (including sign off)
  • BHS Challenge Awards:
    A flexible programme to help develop both understanding of horse care and your riding.
  • BHS Pony Stars:
    An imaginative scheme helping under 12s to develop and nurture their love for ponies and the outdoors.
  • Horse Explorers:
    Aimed at teenagers, the programme helps develop confidence, skills and knowledge - building horsey know-how whilst promoting skills for life, such as planning, teamwork and problem solving.
  • Please get in touch for current fees, which depend on arena hire, distance to client, number of clients etc

Out and About!

I am lucky to be out and about competing on our versatile home bred arab mare Sisulu. We have really enjoyed competing BE, as well as enjoying hunter trials, showjumping, fun rides, farm rides and Camps. I am happy to offer support and guidance to those starting out locally, or new to Events and Competitions in the area.
